Product Manager (3rd Party/Collections)

Job location: Muncie, IN

Product Managers have a high level of input into the future direction of Ontario Systems products, shaping the future direction of company products and market initiatives. Individuals in this position have a unique opportunity to work closely with customers and markets to solve real world business needs.

Product Managers maintain an understanding of market needs and problems to ensure company products and services respond accordingly. Individuals in this position will define the value gained by clients adopting our solutions to ensure Ontario Systems assists them in their business plan and goals. In addition, these individuals will provide product direction and oversight for assigned product(s) shepherding them through the product life cycle while adhering to corporate goals and objectives. Product Managers maintain considerable focus on functional requirements gathering; maintain a prioritized product roadmap that extends three years; maintain product and market expertise and effectively communicate these to various audiences; and build relationships with key clients and industry thought leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or related areas
  • An advanced degree, such as MBA, is preferred
  • Over five years of direct experience in a business analysis role, managing enterprise-class software products, is required
  • Experience and in depth understanding of the receivables management and collection markets required
  • Experience developing and maintaining product roadmaps and maintaining a strategic, prioritized list of customer and market requirements
  • Experience specifying functional requirements and associated functional specifications based upon identified market problems, visiting customers and prospects to assess their needs
  • In depth experience arbitrating requirements provided by varying sources such as customers, prospects, partners, sales staff, engineering, market trends and competitors into a prioritized plan
  • Experience providing a cohesive set of deliverables, including products and services, that are responsible to market needs
  • Advanced ability to assess the impact of architectural, security, future technology, and deployment needs as they related to given product(s)
  • Proven experience interacting with and supporting: designers in high-level and detailed design responsibilities; planning by technical communications, training, and quality assurance; business model definition by application support and professional services; ROI strategy, marketing, and pricing efforts of market segment leadership; and business analysts in the generation of detailed requirements and use case definitions
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Permanent resident status required (unable to provide visa sponsorship))
