Senior Architect

Job location: Muncie, IN

The individual selected for this position will work effectively with product teams to understand and translate requirements and align architecture and technologies that will meet product and business requirements. This individual will be responsible for creating technology plans, roadmaps, and strategies that support software solution delivery. This individual will understand industry trends, standards, and best practices, and review and develop architectural models at both conceptual and detailed levels. This individual also will analyze complex systems and technical, process, and product issues to develop strategic direction, transformation plans, and participated in effective execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and five or more years related experience (equivalent combination of education and experience accepted)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related areas
  • An advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 6-10 years work experience with development, implementation
  • Experience in business, computers, management or related fields is preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with automation of business processes and the associated technologies is required
  • Advanced software development experience and broad experience with computing architectures in an enterprise setting are required
  • Experience with Software As A Service (SaaS) business models and processes is required
  • Advanced experience with n-tiered architecture and design concepts is required
  • In depth knowledge of and/or strong experience in the following (with proficiency in at least two) areas: Information Management (governance, strategy, meta data processes); Data Management (logical data modeling, enterprise warehousing, business intelligence, object-relational modeling); Enterprise Architecture (business & technical reference models, solution architecture, legacy systems modernization, business process modeling); Software Engineering (full lifecycle development, including management, compliance, UML modeling); Network & Infrastructure Architecture; Enterprise Application Integration (mainframe architecture, J2EE middleware, ERP implementation); Enterprise Program and Portfolio Management
  • Demonstrated experience on large, complex integration implementation
  • In depth knowledge of component-based architecture, service oriented architecture and system design
  • Demonstrated mastery of systems design and project life cycle methodologies
  • Demonstrated capability in process analysis and process improvement techniques and in processes used in architectural design
  • Advanced knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, and how technology can meet company goals; and of software design and architecture concepts, components and IT infrastructure
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Permanent resident status required (unable to provide visa sponsorship)
