Software Engineers work in a collaborative, dynamic environment, developing quality software engineering solutions. Engineers are responsible for: understanding and following defined product development methodologies developing technical solutions, determining detailed designs, and investigating and resolving software issues. Individual initiative and creativity are encouraged and welcomed at Ontario Systems.

**Qualifications: **

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related areas

Minimum of 3-7 years related experience in technical solutions delivery (programming, configuration, builds or technical support)

Minimum of 2-5 years developing real world applications using Java and/or Flex as a main discipline required

Advanced understanding of database concepts with industry standard database languages such as Oracle, SQL Server or Caché beneficial

In depth knowledge of databases and programming/data access tools required

General understanding of technology infrastructure across which application will run required

In depth knowledge of industry standard processes, tools and deliverables required

Demonstrated mastery in systems design and project life cycle methodologies

Demonstrated mastery in problem resolutions and root cause analysis

Ability to work with an array of complex assignments and to be responsible for development on a major software project

Ability to work well in a team environment

Strong written and verbal communication skills
