Purchasing Agent, Software
Job location: Muncie, IN
The individual selected for this position will maintain records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's software. This individual will minimize organizational costs through product standardization and tracking. Additionally, this individual will assess and place orders in a timely manner, communicate expected receipt dates, and verify delivery for: computer software, maintenance and support for software and hardware, and other items.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or a related area, and at least three years of related experience (equivalent combination of education and experience accepted)
Degree in business or technical related area or experience in purchasing and/or asset management is required
Strong knowledge of computer software and related licensing requirements is required
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications (Lotus/Excel), databases, and good analytical/math skills required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple project simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and the ability to work with all personality types
Excellent negotiation and organizational skills required
Permanent resident status required (unable to provide visa sponsorship)
