Why Us?

When you ask Ontario Systems associates why they love their jobs, you’re likely to get as many answers as people you talk to. That’s because there are dozens of compelling reasons to work here.

Of course we’re a growing enterprise in a dynamic industry, but we’re also a midsize company where literally every associate can make an impact. We make sure of that by aligning our associates’ goals with corporate strategy and providing ongoing professional development opportunities for everyone. And thanks to the business we’re in and our strategic alliance with Microsoft, the work we do is pretty cool.

There are plenty of perks to working at Ontario Systems, too (and we’re not just talking about our corporate Olympics, where your gaming skills are temporarily more in demand than your job skills). We offer a casual work environment and remote work options together with a competitive total rewards program that includes a quality medical insurance package, 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement, and paid vacations and holidays.

But don’t take our word for it. Find out for yourself.

Casual Dress Code

Ontario Systems maintains a relaxed, business-casual dress code, which allows associates the freedom to adapt their attire to the demands of their day-to-day schedule.

Medical Insurance

We offer two comprehensive High Deductible Health Plans (HDHP) to meet our associates’ medical needs. With these plans, benefits are paid at a higher level when employees utilize healthcare providers and medical services within the Humana Network. Associates also can open a qualified Health Savings Account (HSA), to which Ontario Systems will contribute monthly funds during the year to help cover medical expenses. Team members can select to contribute tax-free dollars to their HSAs through payroll deduction, paying approximately 19 percent of the cost of monthly insurance premiums. Eligibility begins on the first day of employment.

Prescription Coverage

Prescription drug coverage is included in the company medical plan, and the employee portion of the cost for covered prescriptions can be paid for through HSA funds. For recurring prescriptions, a 90-day supply of the prescribed medication can be filled through a mail order program. The mail order service allows generic medications and preferred brands to be purchased at a bulk discount to retail pharmacy prices.

Dental Insurance

Our dental plan is provided through a PPO network. The plan pays 100 percent of preventative services. After a $50 deductible ($150 maximum per family) is satisfied, the plan covers basic services at 80 percent and major services at 60 percent. The cost of this benefit is included in the monthly insurance premium addressed in the Medical Insurance section. Eligibility begins on the first day of employment.

Vision Insurance

As with the medical and dental programs, employees realize a greater benefit from this plan when they use service providers within the PPO network. Vision exams are covered in full every 12 months when using PPO network providers. Lenses or contact lenses are covered every 12 months. Eyeglass frames are covered every 24 months. The cost of this benefit is included in the monthly insurance premium. Eligibility begins on the first day of employment.

Life Insurance

Ontario Systems provides group life insurance coverage equal to two times an employee’s annual salary. This benefit is currently provided at no charge to the employee and becomes effective on the employee’s hire date.

Short-Term Disability

Full-time employees who are employed for one month or more may be eligible for salary continuation benefits during a leave of absence under Ontario Systems’ Short-Term Disability Plan. The plan provides at least a portion of compensation during periods in which the employee is unable to work due to a medical disability. This benefit is currently provided at no charge.

Long-Term Disability

This plan provides salary continuation benefits for employees who have been disabled longer than six months. Employees may receive up to 60 percent of their salary during the disability period until age 65. This benefit is currently provided at no charge to the employee. Eligibility begins on the first day of employment.

401(k) Savings Plan

This retirement savings plan allows participants to save a portion of their earnings on a tax-deferred basis. Employees may contribute up to 75 percent of their pre-tax earnings into a pre-tax 401(k) account or a Roth 401(k) account. The contributions can be allocated among many diversified funds. After an employee completes one year of service, Ontario Systems makes a discretionary “basic” contribution of two percent of the employee’s annual earnings to his/her account. The company also makes a discretionary “matching” contribution of up to two percent of the employee’s earnings per year. Full vesting occurs after one year of employment.

Tuition/Continuing Education Reimbursement

Ontario Systems provides financial assistance to employees who wish to continue their education either through an accredited college-level program of their choice or company-approved training institute. Areas of study must be job-related. Interested employees must have manager approval.

Paid Time Off

Paid Time Off (PTO) provides full-time and modified-schedule employees with paid time away from work that can be used for vacation, personal time, illness or the care of family members. New employees accrue PTO days at a rate of 1.5 days for each month of service. PTO days not used by the end of the calendar year carry over to the next calendar year up to a maximum of 20 days.

Holidays

Ontario Systems’ employees receive paid time off for nine specified annual holidays. Additionally, employees receive one floating holiday that can be taken on an approved day of the associate’s choice with advance supervisor approval.

Fitness Center

Ontario Systems offers all employees and their eligible family members access to an on-site fitness facility. The center is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Employee Assistance Program

Employees dealing with personal issues may seek objective, confidential assistance from a trained counselor through the LifeBalance Employee Assistance Program. The program offers telephone consultations with specialists who can provide assistance with personal problems and relationships; parenting, family and work-balance issues; legal or financial concerns; child care or elder care matters; or substance abuse/addiction issues. Employees may also request referrals to local professionals for one-on-one consultations. The first three visits to professionals dealing with mental health or substance abuse issues are at no charge to the employee. Subsequent visits are paid according to the benefits outlined in Ontario Systems’ health insurance program.

529 College Savings Plan

As a plan sponsor, Ontario Systems offers associates the opportunity to invest in a tax-advantaged college savings plan called College America. Enrollment packages and further information are available from People Services
