Integration to drive missing insurance identification for payer reimbursement through the Artiva HCx™ solution

(MUNCIE, Ind. – March 28, 2017) – Ontario Systems, a leading software provider to the healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM), accounts receivable management (ARM) and government (GOV) markets, has announced a new partnership with Pronto Computing to provide automated self-pay discovery scrubs to its healthcare customers. Driven by the Artiva HCx™ solution from Ontario Systems, the new partnership will help medical providers give patients a single comprehensive financial experience, while fulfilling missions with increased revenue, reduced cost to collect, and improved patient satisfaction. By integrating key partners like Pronto Computing, the Ontario Systems HCx solution will enable those providers to benefit from missing insurance identification, with increases in reimbursement and efficiency along with reduced bad debt expense.

“By embedding self-pay discovery into the process with the Artiva HCx solution, providers see a 3% average identification rate of insurance on previously self-pay identified accounts,” says Shawn Yates, Ontario Systems Director of Healthcare Product Management. “These accounts typically move to bad debt creating poor patient relations and inflated bad debt expense. By identifying these accounts in an automated revenue cycle process, providers realize big labor savings, freeing up their account representatives’ time to focus on more strategic revenue cycle opportunities. By partnering with Pronto Computing, our customers can focus their business office staffs’ efforts on the most important accounts that need attention instead of working accounts that already have available insurance to file.”

Pronto Computing focuses on automating the healthcare revenue cycle process by empowering clients with an innovative and robust payer connection portfolio, used to scrub self-pay accounts for missing insurance. This streamlines workflow and creates unprecedented efficiencies through automation, using a combination of proprietary sources, 270/271 HIPAA transactions and web scraping to identify found Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial coverage, and eliminate manual intervention.

"We are excited to partner with Ontario Systems and bring Pronto's eligibility services to customers using the Artiva HCx solution," says Robert Nolan, Pronto Computing Co-Founder. "We are impressed with how thoughtfully Ontario Systems integrated our product within Artiva HCx technology. Pronto's eligibility services together with the Artiva HCx solution will enable providers to find the right insurance for patients, resulting in increased net revenue, decreased costs associated with manual insurance processing, as well as decreased write offs to bad debt."

“Our customers excel at deploying innovative solutions to healthcare’s biggest and most common financial challenges,” says Ontario Systems Senior Director of Business Development, Steve Scibetta. “That’s why we continue to partner with market leaders like Pronto who enable us to enhance our technology in a way that brings new fuel to healthcare provider missions across the country.”

Data aggregation from internal data systems, vendors, and partners helps health systems reduce the cost to collect

(MUNCIE, Ind. – November 14, 2016) – Ontario Systems, a leading accounts receivable management (ARM) and healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) software and services provider, introduced the Artiva HCx™ solution today, an integrated package of key products designed to manage insurance and self-pay receivables more efficiently with optimized revenue cycle processes and reporting analytics. By enabling a single experience for the patient, the solution will empower providers to meet their missions by increasing revenue, reducing the cost to collect, and improving patient satisfaction.

“Between reductions in provider reimbursements, increases in patient out-of-pocket receivables and evolving regulatory challenges, providers are facing mounting pressure on their margins. Those challenges have forced them to look at mergers or affiliations to maintain their community missions,” said Shawn Yates, Director, Healthcare Product Management at Ontario Systems. “The Artiva HCx™ solution helps providers overcome issues with separate data systems in those mergers or affiliations. By aggregating all of their data into one coherent process, health systems can provide a single patient experience that speeds reimbursement and removes confusion that often surrounds patient liabilities.”

The Artiva HCx™ solution enables healthcare providers by embedding key outside data resources that streamline and automate insurance and self-pay operational processes. By doing so, providers can gain efficiencies that substantially enhance productivity and increase cash recoveries. The new solution from Ontario Systems helps providers achieve these improvements with a fully-integrated patient engagement suite, allowing patients to interact with the provider on their terms and at their convenience.

Key components of the solution include:

Embedded Data Services – Automated workflow productivity is boosted by “working smarter not harder” through integrated services that inform treatment strategies taken against both payer and patient liabilities.
Insurance Receivables Management – Detailed work processes incorporating automated claims status monitoring and look-ahead processing when contacting payers, generating exception based workflows that maximize productivity. Integrated contact management tools to enhance productivity and ensure quality assurance.
Denials Management – Aggregation of key denial CARC codes into subcategories to expedite follow-up and appeals tracking. Contact management tools are integrated to ensure quality assurance and promote enhanced productivity.
Self-Pay Management – Prioritizing accounts with detailed segmentation, and identifying missing insurance and financial assistance to determine a custom contact strategy, executed with an integrated patient engagement platform.
Reporting Analytics - Dashboards and reports targeting key performance indicators and productivity to support and drive business decisions. Performance reporting by multiple variables for each process with trending and snapshot analysis to manage execution.
Strategy Analyst – Assigned industry expert with real life experience in the healthcare field to assist in using the solution and maximizing ROI.
“By providing a flexible, single-source solution for all revenue cycle actions, providers are able to manage patient interactions to create a better patient experience, and elevate patient satisfaction scores and reimbursements,” said Casey Stanley, VP, Product Management and Marketing at Ontario Systems. “Our solution provides recommendations to handle complicated follow-up processes with both insurance and patient, leading to cost savings and an increase in collected revenue.”

Georgia Regional Peer Meeting will give compliance professionals opportunity to share candid compliance conversation

(MUNCIE, Ind. – September 20, 2016) – Ontario Systems, a leading accounts receivable management (ARM) and healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) software and services provider, announced its sponsorship of the insideARM Compliance Professionals Forum Georgia Regional Peer Meeting today, to be held October 13 in Atlanta, Ga. Underwritten by TransUnion, the forum will bring representatives from a number of receivables companies together to discuss perspectives, accomplishments and challenges in a safe space, with the goal of providing practical solutions for real improvement in the ARM industry.

“Honest discussion about compliance burdens and solutions is an essential part of success for any receivables operation in 2016,” says Ontario Systems Vice President of Product Management & Marketing, Casey Stanley. “Salespeople, analysts and consultants are never shy about sharing their opinions on what makes for profitable operations – But it’s rare for ARM leaders to come together and share honest feedback with one another. ARM agencies, healthcare organizations, law firms, creditors and debt buyers always do well by learning from their peers, while providing guidance to the rest of their industries.”

Compliance Professionals Forum meetings typically include 20-40 attendees, making them larger gatherings than the Forum’s usual monthly phone-based peer groups. Those attending will set the agenda for the Forum, which will run from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The $25 reservation fee is waived for Compliance Professionals Forum members.

MUNCIE, Ind. (September 13, 2016) – Ontario Systems, a leading accounts receivable management (ARM) and healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM) software and services provider, announced today it would present Radius Global Solutions executives Steve Elliott, Steve Leckerman and Michael Barrist with its second annual Pinnacle Awards. The three receivables leaders will be on hand at PowerUp 2016, the company’s annual user conference, to receive the honor during the event’s opening session on September 21. The award is presented to individuals who have made outstanding and significant achievements in innovation, technology and leadership over the course of their careers.

“One of the major goals of our conference every year is to honor the visionaries in our industry who carry the torch,” says Ontario Systems CEO Ron Fauquher. “Steve, Steve and Michael have exhibited proven success in the ARM industry – their long history of growth and profitable operations proves it. I look forward to congratulating them on their decades of service in Indianapolis next week, as well as our other customers and partners who continue to thrive in a market that gets more complex and challenging each year.”

Elliot, Leckerman, and Barrist together have more than 75 years of experience in ARM leadership, and are all currently named as Managing Directors with Radius Global Solutions. Elliott serves as the company’s CIO, while Leckerman and Barrist define the business’s operative strategy and execution. The three formerly worked together to lead NCO Financial Systems, which eventually grew from a $10 million company with 140 employees into a multi-billion dollar multinational, and the largest player in the BPO and collection services industry.

“Each year, we offer Pinnacle Awards to members of our extended family of customers and valued partners who have made outstanding and significant achievements in innovation, technology and leadership over the course of their careers,” says Mike Meyer, Senior Director of Sales with Ontario Systems. “Steve, Steve and Michael individually are true forces in the collection industry – but it’s been truly inspiring to watch them master the art of seamlessly integrating strategy, technology and execution as a team. They have helped Ontario Systems adopt practices that have helped define success for many businesses in the receivables space.”
